Derry Area 32 Greater Latrobe 28   WATCH BROADCAST

Derry Area made it two victories in a row over crosstown rival Greater Latrobe, downing the Wildcats 32-28 in a non-section clash. The Trojans raced out to a 17-9 lead early but the Wildcats rallied and went ahead, 28-26, after Dom Angelicchio's 4-1 decision over Brett Klim at 145 pounds. But in the final bout, Jeremiah Gess pinned Aryn Chappel at 3:07 to vault Derry Area to the win.

Southmoreland 53 Yough 21

Southmoreland claimed this year's version of the Crosstown Cup with a 53-21 victory over visiting Yough in Section 7-2A. Landyn Queer (139), Shawn Hollis (152), Hunter Pepiot (160) and Kaden Shannon (215) and Jacob Govern (285) each scored pins for the Scotties (3-5). Dominic Liscotti (145) and Aiden Humenik (189) won matches for the Cougars (1-1).

Franklin Regional 43 Moon Area 12

Salvatore Nassif (127) and John Montgomery (215) recorded pins while Titus Colangelo (114), Max Firestine (145) and Henry Patts (189) earned technical falls to lead Franklin Regional to a 43-12 victory at Moon Area in a non-section match. The Panthers remain undefeated at (4-0).

Norwin 72 Gateway 0

Norwin opened Section 9-3A play with a lopsided 72-0 victory at Gateway. The Knights improve their undefeated record to (8-0).

Penn-Trafford 33 Plum 26

Tasso Whipple's pin and Ben Grabowski's major decision put the match away for Penn-Trafford in the Warriors 33-26 victory over Plum in a Section 9-3A contest. P-T held a slim 23-20 advantage late in the match before Whipple pinned Luca Schneiderlochner just 28 seconds into the 189 pound bout and Grabowski's 14-2 major decision over Kameron Dietrick at 215. Gino Pecora (145) and Cael Ott (160) also picked up falls for Penn-Trafford (1-0). Joel Kline (133), Trent Reese (152) and Frank Grazulis (285) won by fall for the Mustangs (0-1). Each team forfeited at 107 and 114 pounds.

Ligonier Valley 47 Johnstown 21

Jake Mundorff and Lucas Krieger each registered falls at 189 and 215 pounds to lead Ligonier Valley to a 47-21 non-section triumph over Johnstown. Carter Bizup (133) added a major decision for the Rams (2-2).

Kiski Area 52 Indiana 19

Kiski Area began Section 5-3A action with a 52-19 triumph at Indiana Area. The Cavaliers even their record at (2-2).
