A native of Westmoreland County, Dan graduated from Derry Area High School in 2003. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he majored in communications.
He got his start in radio in 2001, working for Renda Broadcasting of Indiana County. Since then he has handled everything from engineering live sporting events, to serving as a News Director, to calling sports play-by-play for several radio stations.
In his time in calling games in Westmoreland County, Dan has had the fortunate opportunity of broadcasting the NCAA Division II Baseball World Series in 2014 and 2021, WPIAL & PIAA High School Football Championship games in 2009, 2011 and 2017 and the PIAA High School Basketball Championship in 2011.
For WSN, Dan handles play-by-play for sports year-round including Seton Hill University sports.
When 'Flick' isn't watching the Steelers, Penguins, or Pirates, he is usually playing video games, golfing or at the gym.
He currently lives in Penn Township with his wife Kelly and his dogs Cooper and Abby.
"I'd like to thank all of the schools, coaches, athletic directors, parents, players, and fans that have made WSN a success on this crazy fun journey! We'll always strive to deliver professional, thoughtful and unique broadcasts to the community that I call home."
