13 wrestlers took home gold in the 25th anniversary of the Southmoreland Holiday Classic Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Southmoreland High School.

Butler's Santino Sloboda and Baldwin's Ramil Islamov each captured their third Southmoreland titles. Sloboda pinned Fox Chapel's Landon Funk in 1:27 at 127 pounds while Islamov recorded a 10-0 Major Decision over United's Josef Garshnick in the 145 pound bout.

Cyrus Hurd of North East and Rowan Holmes from Somerset Area both claimed their second championships.

Fort Cherry's Braedon Welsh was named Outstanding Wrestler. He pinned Nezumiiro Green of Pittsburgh Central Catholic at 1:19 of the first period to win at 189 pounds. In all, Welsh registered three pin falls and two technical falls during the tournament.

For the second straight year, Corry Area secured the team title totaling 200.5 points over the two-day tournament. Butler came in second place with 188.5 points followed by North East (179), Fox Chapel (178) and Indian Land S.C. (163) to round out the top five.

Southmoreland finished highest among Westmoreland County teams, placing 18th overall.
