13 wrestlers celebrated championships on Tuesday in the finals of the 22nd annual Southmoreland Holiday Classic Wrestling Tournament.

One of the top highlights of the evening came in the 215 pound championship as Scotties' senior Anthony Govern trailed Greensburg Salem's Caleb Chismar 3-1 after two periods. But, a little more than 30 seconds into the third, Govern locked up a cradle and pinned Chismar with 1:22 on the clock to secure the title. He was voted as the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler.

In the 160 pound final, Beth Center's Trevor Pettit captured his 100th career victory as he pinned Ethan Hemminger of Somerset with just five seconds left in the bout.

Butler won the team title with 181.5 points, narrowly defeating second place Plum which tallied 176.5 points. Beth-Center finished third followed by Bethel Park and Somerset. Greensburg Salem placed sixth, Southmoreland 11th, Derry Area 14th and Ligonier Valley came in 17th in the 29-team tournament.
