Norwin 59 Hempfield Area 36
The Knights jumped out to an 11-0 lead to open the contest, and Norwin sealed the outcome with a strong fourth quarter to notch a 59-36 road win against Hempfield Area in Section 2-6A. Norwin finished the game on a 22-6 surge. Kendall Berger's 15 points powered the Knights (7-5, 4-1), while teammates Liz Yarosik and Averi Brozeski scored 13 and 11 points, respectively. In the setback, the third in a row for the Spartans, Allie Cervola and Gabby Cocchia each posted 10 points for Hempfield Area (7-6, 1-4).
Franklin Regional 54 Shaler Area 48 WATCH BROADCAST
The Panthers overcame a 12-point deficit in the third quarter, rallying for a 54-48 victory against Shaler Area in a first-place showdown in Section 1-5A. Madi DeRiggi led the surge for the host Panthers (9-5, 6-0), as she scored 18 of her game-high 20 points in the second half. Franklin Regional outpaced the Titans 18-13 in the third, and won the final quarter by a margin of 15-6. Toryn Fulton and Anna Novelli each contributed nine points for FR. Shaler (11-2, 4-1) was led by Noelle Roth, who posted 13 points, while Reese Smetanka netted 11 points.
Penn-Trafford 50 Indiana 37
Penn-Trafford trailed 25-16 at halftime but turned it on in the second half, outscoring host Indiana 34-12 over the final two quarters to earn a 50-37 Section 2-5A win. Izzy Fontanta and Hanna Weishaar each put in 11 points for the Warriors (13-0, 6-0) while Torrie DeStefano came in with 10 points. Julie Antonacci's eight points topped the Indians (11-3, 5-1).
Greensburg Salem 56 West Mifflin 28
Greensburg Salem leaped out to a 20-5 lead and never looked back as it secured a 56-28 win against West Mifflin in Section 2-5A action. Mya Heasley collected 17 points for the Golden Lions (8-6, 2-4) while Blessing Gantt added 10. Savaughn Wimbs had 16 points for the Titans (2-10, 0-6).
Oakland Catholic 48 Burrell 13
Burrell dug itself an early hole, trailing Oakland Catholic 21-2 after the games first eight minutes in a 48-13 loss to the Eagles in Section 1-4A. Jules Fisher's 10 points lead the Buccaneers (9-5, 4-3). Zephaniah Troxler-Scott and Madi Pullen each had 11 points for Oakland Catholic (10-2, 6-1).
North Catholic 64 Derry Area 25
Derry Area was outscored in every quarter by North Catholic, falling on the road 64-25 in a Section 1-4A game. Jane Huss finished with seven points to lead Derry Area (3-8, 1-5). Brady Wehner, Kate Vislosky and Lauren Reitz all collected nine points for North Catholic (12-2, 7-0).
Highlands 61 Valley 49
Tyarah Woody's game-high 29 points helped power Highlands to a 61-49 triumph over Valley in Section 1-4A play. The Vikings trailed by just one point, 41-40, after three quarters but the Rams ended the game on a 20-9 run. Amena Stevens and Tori Tailerico finished with 13 and 12 points respectively for Valley (1-13, 0-7).
Belle Vernon 48 Southmoreland 20
Led by Aubrey Brown and Saylor Lee, Belle Vernon Area notched a 48-20 victory at Southmoreland in Section 3-4A battle. Brown netted a game-best 17 points for the Leopards (6-8, 4-3), while Lee added 14 points. Ashley Seder put in six points to lead Southmoreland (3-11,1-6). Belle Vernon held a 20-12 lead at halftime but outscored the Scotties 19-5 in the third quarter.
Mount Pleasant 51 Ringgold 32
Ryleigh Drzal notched 16 points to carry Mount Pleasant past Ringgold 51-32 in Section 3-4A. The Vikings (2-11, 2-5) outscored the Rams in every quarter including 14-7 to open the game. Jada Gernot tallied 17 points for Ringgold (6-6, 0-5). Sierra Jenkins poured in 20 points for the Mustangs (10-4, 5-2).
Laurel Highlands 68 Yough 17

Greensburg Central Catholic bounced back from its first section setback with a dominant 66-21 home win against Deer Lakes in Section 2-3A action. Erica Gribble’s output matched the entire Deer Lakes team, as she scored 21 for the Centurions (8-3, 4-1), while Jayla Peterson contributed 17 points in the triumph for GCC which outscored Deer Lakes 24-2 in the second quarter. The Lancers record dips to (9-4, 4-3).
Frazier 52 Jeannette 44
Homestanding Jeannette fell 52-44 to Frazier in a Section 4-2A matchup. Consequently, the Jayhawks dropped to 0-5 in the section, and 4-9 overall, while the Commodores moved to 1-3 in the section and 5-8 on the campaign.
