Kiski Area could not contain Tevin Owen-Cratsenberg, who led Highlands to a 45-22 win against the Cavaliers. Owen-Cratsenberg exploded for 25 carries for 284 yards and five touchdowns for the Golden Rams (2-0), while Logan Thies added 91 yards on the ground. Chismar registered 323 yards and three passing TDs for the Golden Lions (0-2), while Colton Miller hauled in 11 passes for 142 yards and a score. Indiana Area (1-1) was paced by a remarkable effort by Charles Spells, who notched 320 yards and five touchdowns for the Little Indians.

Antonio Perkins scored thrice, including the decisive TD in the final three minutes to lead Burrell to a 27-26 victory against South Park. Perkins compiled 110 yards rushing for the Buccaneers (2-0). In the loss, the Eagles (0-2) received two scores by Colsen Heynes.

A week after snapping a long losing streak, Valley could not build upon the momentum in a 53-7 loss to Ringgold. The duo of Nicholas Stasko and Crosby Dague combined for 214 yards rushing and four scores for the Rams (1-1). Davell McWright notched an 82-yard TD catch for the Vikings (1-1).

Ligonier Valley 34 Brentwood 18

The duo of Levi Foust and Blake Hitt propelled Ligonier Valley to a 34-18 home win against Brentwood. Foust, the QB, generated 129 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Hitt amassed 156 yards and a score on the ground for the Rams (2-0).

Apollo-Ridge 42 Greensburg Central Catholic 6

Greensburg Central Catholic fell into an early deficit and never recovered in a 42-6 loss on the road against Apollo-Ridge. The lone bright spot for the Centurions (1-1) was a 96-yard TD run by Blase Bugosh in the third quarter. For the Vikings (2-0), QB Chris Dailey tossed a 67-yard TD pass on their first drive, and the Vikings’ defense produced a fumble recovery score on the ensuing GCC drive. Dailey finished with 197 yards and two scores through the air, as well as a pair of rushing scores.
