Pittsburgh Central Catholic 57 Norwin 30   WATCH BROADCAST

Norwin’s offense was stifled in a 57-30 home loss against Pittsburgh Central Catholic in a Section 2-6A battle. Enzo Khalil paced the Vikings (11-1, 5-0) with 26 points. In the defeat for the Knights (7-6, 2-3), Nate Kuch tallied 16 points, but no other Norwin player eclipsed three points.

Hempfield Area 57 Canon-McMillan 55

Hempfield Area captured a narrow 57-55 road victory at Canon-McMillan in a Section 2-6A matchup. A trio of Spartans (8-4, 2-3) scored in double digits, as Danny Husenits produced a dozen points, Lucas Simmons added 11, and Trevor Donsen tallied 10 points. Keegan Williams netted a game-high 21 points in the setback for the Big Macs (5-7, 1-4).

Greater Latrobe 63 Franklin Regional 55   WATCH BROADCAST

Robert Young was the difference maker for Greater Latrobe as he posted a double-double to help the Wildcats knock off first place Franklin Regional 63-55 in Section 1-5A. Young finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Ian DeCerb had 13 points and Sawyer Butina added 11 for the Wildcats (4-7, 2-3). Logan Walter collected a game best 22 points for the Panthers (8-3, 4-1) while Alec Masten contributed 13.

Penn-Trafford 74 McKeesport Area 66

Four players scored in double figures to propel homestanding Penn-Trafford to a 74-66 win against McKeesport Area in a Section 1-5A clash. Zach Feldman paced PT (5-5, 4-1) with 20 points, while Ethan McDonald, Peyton Mastro, and Trent Brown tallied 18, 14, and 10 points, respectively, for the Warriors. For the Tigers (6-5, 3-2), Lamont Perkins poured in 37 points.

Burrell 47 Freeport 30

Burrell trailed after the first quarter but quickly built up a lead heading into halftime and went on to defeat Freeport 47-30 in a Section 1-4A match up. The Buccaneers were down 11-10 to the Yellowjackets through one but held a 15-4 scoring edge in the second quarter to take control. Adam Wass tallied 14 points for Burrell (6-7, 1-2) with Gavyn Orr adding 11. Carson Kane produced 14 points for Freeport (4-6, 2-2).

Belle Vernon 77 East Allegheny 40

Belle Vernon Area used a balanced scoring attack to outclass East Allegheny 77-40 in a Section 3-4A matchup. In the win, the host Leopards (8-6, 4-1) were led by Elijah Majors, who tallied 16 points, while AJ Watson netted 13 points and Cam Jenko and Luca Ghilani each scored a dozen. Jayden Patterson led the Wildcats (6-4, 2-2) with 14 points.

Derry Area 68 Yough 44

Led by Stanley Rajkovich, Derry Area bested host Yough in a Westmoreland clash in Section 3-4A. Rajkovich produced 26 points for the Trojans (8-5, 3-2), while Logan Irvin contributed 14 points and Willie Stockett-Harter added 10 points. Hayden Smith amassed 24 points in the loss for the Cougars (1-10, 0-4).

Charleroi 54 Mount Pleasant 51

Mount Pleasant dropped a back-and-forth road contest to Charleroi 54-51 in Section 4-3A action. The Vikings held a 33-30 advantage at the half but were outscored 24-18 in the second half. Kade Hutchinson's 12 points topped Mount Pleasant (3-9, 1-2) while Zavion Thomas and Jackson Keranko both netted 17 points for the Cougars (6-7, 1-2).

Southmoreland 47 Waynesburg 46

Southmoreland dug out of an early hole and then rallied in the fourth quarter to edge Waynesburg 47-46 in Section 4-3A. Noah Felentzer collected 11 points and Brock Pritts put in 10 for the Scotties (6-6, 3-0). Dane Woods finished with 15 points for the Raiders (4-7, 2-1).

Ligonier Valley 67 Brownsville 40

Ligonier Valley held a 29-16 advantage at halftime and went on to secure a Section 4-3A victory at Brownsville by a final of 67-40. Michael Wisniewski went off for 22 points to lead the Rams (6-5, 2-1). Michel Vargulish-Graver and Greyson Daugherty had 14 and 10 points respectively. Jaiden Praster's 17 points paced the Falcons (1-9, 0-3).

Jeannette 70 Springdale 39

Markus McGowan exploded for 27 points as Jeannette blasted Springdale 70-39 in a Section 1-2A tilt. The Jayhawks outscored the Dynamos in every quarter including 27-16 in the first. Xavier Odorisio-Farrow (12), Jayce Powell (11) and Noah Sunder (10) also reached double figures for Jeannette (10-1, 5-0). Liam Dexter recorded 14 points for Springdale (5-6, 2-3).

Greensburg Central Catholic 43 Riverview 30

Greensburg Central Catholic ended the game on a 19-7 run to sink Riverview 43-30 in a Section 1-2A game. Luke Semelka's 16 points topped the Centurions (2-10, 2-3) with James Botti adding 10. Rex Roberts ended with 16 points for the Raiders (3-8, 1-4).
