GCC tabs Moore as volleyball coach
A former star player was hired to lead the Greensburg Central Catholic girls volleyball program last week. Rachel Moore, a 2015 grad of GCC, will guide the Centurions in the fall. During her senior campaign with GCC, Moore helped lead the Centurions to the PIAA Class A Championship, a five-set triumph against Marian Catholic. Moore, who played collegiately at Westminster College, served as the head coach at Union City for four campaigns. She also was an assistant coach at Yough. In the fall, GCC went 2-11, including 2-6 in Class 1A Section 4, missing the playoffs.
