Westmoreland County high school boys wrestling match recaps from Wednesday, December 10th 2025:

Penn-Trafford 38 Plum 26   WATCH BROADCAST

Penn-Trafford took advantage of three Plum forfeits, racing out to a 24-0 lead and went on to secure a 38-26 victory in a Section 9-3A match. Jax Brentzel (107) and Sidney Hand (172) secured falls for the Warriors while Logan Matrisch (160) won by technical fall. Joel Kline (139), Douglas Harchick (145) and Frank Grazulis (285) all picked up falls for the Mustangs. In a wild finish at 189 pounds, Plum's Garett Huff scored a reversal just before the buzzer to defeat Gino Pecora 2-1.

Kiski Area 43 Indiana 25

Kiski Area won five straight bouts in the upper matches to down Indiana 43-25 in a Section 5-3A contest. The Indians went out to a 25-17 lead through eight matches before the Cavaliers went on their run. Tyler Bollinger started the stretch by beating Benjamin Stephens by technical fall, 18-3, at 160 pounds. It was followed by a major decision from Abraham Taylor (172), a technical fall by Mario Hutcherson (189) and a pair of pins from Cooper Roscosky (215) and Alex Akerley (285). Leiws Sears (114), Bowen Blystone (127) and Rowan Grantz (152) secured falls for the Indians.

Norwin 54 Gateway 15

Norwin opened Section 9-3A play with a convincing 54-15 triumph over visiting Gateway.

Franklin Regional 33 Moon Area 25

Titus Colangelo (127), Cohen Buccicone (145), Mike Ruane (160) and Kaydon Ferrell (215) all had pins to help Franklin Regional stave off upset-minded Moon Area 33-25 in a non-section meeting. Another key victory for the Panthers came at 139 pounds when Chase Smith earned an 8-3 decision against Cael Yanek.

Belle Vernon 64 McKeesport 12

Belle Vernon took down McKeesport 64-12 in the Leopards Section 7-3A opener. Recording pins for Belle Vernon was Brayden Broadwater (114), Enzo Ortolona (121), Jackson Shawley (133), Eric Granato (145), Vander Raczkowski (152) and Eric Adamec (172).

Ligonier Valley 45 River Valley 27

Ligonier Valley opened the dual meet portion of its schedule with a 45-27 non-section triumph over River Valley. Conner Saxton (127), Knourth Drury (133), Carter Bizup (145), Jake Mundorff (215) and Nathan Bednarek (285) each won by fall for the Rams.
