Norwin 6 Hempfield Area 3   WATCH BROADCAST

Behind Caden Sivrich's 10-strikeout performance, Norwin took down Hempfield Area 6-3 in a Section 2-6A match up. Not only did Sivrich earn the win on the mound with five scoreless innings, he added hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning. Derek Berger hit a three-run bomb in the bottom of the first inning finishing with two hits for the Knights (4-1, 2-0) . Owen Shuglie went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Spartans (2-4, 0-2). Jake Knight picked up the save.

Penn-Trafford 6 Armstrong 1

Penn-Trafford scored four runs in the third inning and went on to earn a 6-1 win against visiting Armstrong in a Section 1-5A clash. Nico Casciato, Zach Feldman, Tanner DeStefano, Anthony Marrow, Colton Tyburski, and Austin Kovarik all drove in runs for the Warriors (6-1, 3-1). Dom Delio permitted an unearned run in six innings to earn the victory. Caden Andryka had two hits and drove in the lone run for the Riverhawks (0-6, 0-4).

Kiski Area 11 Franklin Regional 7

Brennan Corridoni smacked two home runs helping lead Kiski Area to an 11-7 triumph against Franklin Regional in Section 1-5A. Corridoni finished with three RBIs and three runs scored for the Cavaliers (1-4, 1-1). Sawyer Ondish added two hits, including a double, and three RBIs. Tim Pirone went 3-for-5, including a double, and drove in three for the Panthers (6-2, 3-1) while Anthony Mitchell recorded two hits, with a triple, and two RBIs. Henry Krogh was the winning pitcher.

Belle Vernon 8 Ringgold 1

Zach Plymire went all seven innings for a complete game victory as Belle Vernon topped Ringgold 8-1 in Section 2-4A action. Chace Petrosky recorded two hits, two RBIs and scored a pair of runs to lead the offense for the Leopards (4-2, 3-1). Connor Bergman also knocked in two runs. Gavin Angotti had two hits for the Rams (2-5, 1-3).

Valley 12 Derry Area 2 (6 innings)

After losing Monday, Valley turned the tables on Derry Area on Tuesday beating the Trojans 12-2 in a six-inning mercy rule. Dante Taliani went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored to power the Vikings (4-2, 1-1). Dom Dunkel collected two doubles, two RBIs and scored twice. Parker Petrosky had two hits and scored a run for the Trojans (4-3, 1-1). Julian Danko allowed two earned runs in six innings to pick up the win on the mound.

Burrell 14 Southmoreland 1

Burrell exploded for 17 hits en route to a 14-1 triumph at Southmoreland in a Section 3-3A game. Trey Coury produced three hits, four RBIs and two runs scored for the Bucs (4-2, 3-1). Rayden Shirley and Brayden Mell each finished with three hits. Brendon Geho notched two hits for the Scotties (0-6, 0-4). Colton Whitlock worked all seven innings for the victory.

Mount Pleasant 8 Deer Lakes 0

Bobby Smithnosky threw a complete game shutout as Mount Pleasant downed Deer Lakes 8-0 in a Section 3-3A contest. Sonny Marne had two RBIs for the Vikings (4-4, 2-2) while Ian Shipley finished with two hits plus drove in a run. Smithnosky allowed just one hit and finished with seven strikeouts to record the victory.

Freeport 7 Ligonier Valley 3

Ligonier Valley went ahead 1-0 after one but Freeport scored five runs in the next two innings to take control, beating the Rams 7-3 in a Section 3-3A showdown. Jacob Petalino produced three hits and scored twice to lead Ligonier Valley (2-4, 0-2). Gage Blystone went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Yellowjackets (6-0, 4-0). Blystone was also the winning pitcher going all seven innings.

Greensburg Central Catholic 15 Jeannette 5 (6 innings)

Greensburg Central Catholic completed the Section 1-1A sweep of Jeannette, beating the Jayhawks 15-5 in six innings. The Centurions pounded out 17 hits in the contest led by Carson Kramer who went 4-for-4 with a double and six RBIs. Nolan Sapko added three hits, two RBIs, and three runs scored for GCC (4-0, 4-0). Jayden Kennedy recorded three hits and an RBI for the Jayhawks (3-3, 0-2). Alec Martin was the winning pitcher.
