South Park 54 Derry Area 44
>> Destiny Roberts posted a double-double for Derry but it wasn't enough as South Park won the Section 3-4A contest 54-44. The Trojans were in front 29-26 at halftime but were outscored 11-4 in the third quarter and 17-11 in the fourth. Both Roberts and Renee Rectenwald had 12 points for Derry (0-4, 0-2) with Roberts pulling down 17 rebounds.
Uniontown 70 Greensburg Salem 52
>> A tough third quarter doomed Greensburg Salem in a Section 3-5A loss at Uniontown 70-52. The Golden Lions held a 16-14 lead and then trailed just 34-31 at halftime but the Red Raiders went on a 17-6 run in the third. Megan Kallock put in a game-high 22 points for Greensburg Salem (2-3, 1-1). Nikki Mellinger added 10 points.
Armstrong 40 Franklin Regional 36
>> The second half was a game of runs and unfortunately for Franklin Regional, Armstrong had the last run of the contest as the undefeated River Hawks defeated the Panthers 40-36 in Section 4-5A play. Armstrong held a 20-15 edge at halftime but a 16-5 run in the third quarter pushed F-R ahead 31-25 after three. The River Hawks bounced back in a big way, however, finishing the game by outscoring the Panthers 15-5 to win it. Alex Reitz tallied nine points to pace Franklin Regional (4-2, 1-1).
Keystone Oaks 64 Mt. Pleasant 43
>> Keystone Oaks was dominant in the second quarter, outscoring Mt. Pleasant 22-5, en route to a 64-43 home Section 3-4A victory. The Vikings (2-3, 1-1) were only outscored by four points, 42-38, in the other three quarters.
California 50 Jeannette 37
>> Jeannette couldn't build off of a slim 12-10 lead after the first quarter, dropping a Section 3-2A game to California 50-37. The Trojans scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to just 10 for the Jayhawks (1-3, 1-1). Dymond Crawford came in with 16 points to lead Jeannette.
Serra Catholic 46 Greensburg Central Catholic 44
>> Anna Eisaman poured in 22 points for Greensburg Central Catholic but the Centurions dropped a tough Section 3-2A game to Serra Catholic 46-44. GCC was down 22-13 at halftime but nearly rallied in the second half coming up just short. Central falls to (1-3, 1-1).

Latrobe 73 Kiski Area 52
>> Latrobe exploded for 40 points in the second half on its way to a 73-52 non-section home triumph over Kiski Area. Four Wildcats finished in double-figures with Reed Fenton tossing in 21 points including four 3-pointers. Marcus Dudzenski finished with 16 points. Bryce Butler came in with 11 points and Jason Armstrong 10 for the Wildcats (3-2, 0-1). Ryne Wallace scored 18 points to top the Cavaliers (0-4, 0-0).
Franklin Regional 83 Perry 29
>> Franklin Regional stormed out to a 32-5 lead after the first quarter and never looked back in an 83-29 blowout of Perry in non-section play. Aidan Sadoski ended with 17 points to lead the Panthers (5-0, 0-0) while Hunter Stonecheck put in 16.
